The Wiley Vet, 2009 15.3 h dark bay gelding: Now at FLTAP

Before we even saw this handsome fellow, we heard him described as “the sweetest horse” his owners had ever worked with. Then when we saw him we felt certain that he is the total package: handsome, sweet, sound and affordable!  We learned that he is a pampered carrot lover who loves to train, loves his job and loves attention. Even the State vets love this guy! His one owner was watching his photo shoot and became quite emotional when describing how special he is to them and how important it is to them that he go to the right home. Wiley is a beautifully put together boy with a stocky build and an impressive shoulder and chest. He has a cute way of going and looks like he could excel at just about any discipline. His race record of 39 starts with 4 wins, 3 seconds and 3 thirds puts him a tougher category of racing, thus the decision to retire, and not push, him. A bonus was seeing his long, curly tail when he was walking back into the barn, a feature that is apparently often commented on!  He has a great pedigree for eventing and jumping disciplines — Sadlers Wells sire line and Halo dam sire line– full of stamina and turf racing stars. He is by Breeders Cup Turf winner Northern Spur, a son of  the great Sadlers Wells, who excels as a jumping sire.
