Threetwentysix, 2015 15.3h dark bay gelding

We think that Threetwentysix may be the sweetest, most laid back cuddle bug of a horse we have ever listed!  Our volunteers couldn’t help but stand there giving him hugs and wishing they could put him in their cars to take home. His trainer, who is an excellent horseman with a hunter/jumper and foxhunting background, raved about him, saying that “he is the neatest horse we have had in a long time. He’s just such a cool horse.  Everyone in the barn adores him.” His groom echoed that sentiment. She said that he is just so easy about everything and happy to please.  She, like our volunteers, wishes she had room to take him home with her. His trainer says he is very sound, and his legs are clean.  While he has a win and 5 in the money finishes in 6 starts this year, his trainer realizes that it is going to be tougher for him to be competitive now that he has broken  his maiden and has to face winners, and since he knows he will make such a wonderful fun horse for someone in a new career, he wants to let him go enjoy a life other than racing.  The trainer told us that he thinks Threetwentysix would make a “super horse for a kid or a lady.”  It is obvious that what Threetwentysix wants is a new person who will dote on him, hug him, and give him plenty of treats, and be his best friend.  We asked the trainer about the origin of his name, and were told that it is the route number of the farm in Florida where he was born and raised.  Threetwentysix posed perfectly for his photos, and trotted off on a loose lead, showing cute movement. He couldn’t care less that the wind was gusting, and the call to the post for the first race was audible from the nearby track, riling up horses all around him — he just stood there chillin’ and loving our hugs.  He is very well put together,  and since he is only three, he is going to grow some more. His sire is Poseidon’s Warrior, a son of Speightstown. His dam is by Lion Heart.  Sire names that are very much sought after in the sport/jumping world are all over his pedigree:  Gone West, Turn -to (through both Hail to Reason and Cyane); Fappiano, In Reality, Damascus.
