Described by his doting trainer as “a nice old horse”, Toccet is another one of those older warhorses who has the look of been-there-done-that, an unflappable professional who knows his job and has always given as much as he had. In his 54 lifetime starts he has amassed 6 wins, 9 seconds and 8 thirds. His last win was more than two years ago and his current trainer has hung on because he has grown so fond of him. He’s now stopped on his race training and Toccet is hanging out looking handsome, hoping to attract his next doting owner. He has some ankle rounding but he is reported to be sound and we saw nice movement at the walk and at the jog, with good balance and lovely carriage. The older campaigners that remain sound and sane are worth their experience in gold.
