Tommaso, 2012 16.2 dark bay gelding

“Tommy” is all class, a beautiful mover, and a much loved homebred who looks and moves like a potential sport horse star!  And he is also a kind and friendly guy, who kept nuzzling us and his handler as we admired him. Indeed, “Tommy”  is so much admired  that he got a huge plug from another trainer, who saw us taking his photos and video, and who made the effort to come up to us and tell us that Tommy is a gem, a great horse, all class, always well behaved, always hard trying, and will be a wonderful horse in a new career.  After 4 wins and 12 in the money finishes in 45 career races, Tommy is ready to move on to a new discipline as a horse who is clean legged, sound, happy, and still eager to work. His owner/trainer says he is sound, a great horse to handle, very kind, with no vices. We spoke to the owner/trainer’s son, who is an exercise rider, and he says that Tommy is great to ride, never does anything wrong, and is eager to do what his rider wants. Tommy impressed us with his dappled beauty,  balanced build, strong shoulder, intelligent eye, and eye catching lofty movement with good push from behind and reach from the shoulder. He is by Raffie’s Majesty,  from the His Majesty/Ribot sire line, and out of a mare from Mr. Prospector, Buckpasser, and Prince John/Princequillo lines. These are stout and durable TB lines that have produced many great jumping and dressage horses. We have placed some of Tommy’s half siblings out of the same dam, and they are eventing and competing in dressage. Tommy has enjoyed winter turnout on his owner’s farm, gets along well with other horses, and he is the perfect age to be ready to go right to work in his new job.  Trust us — Tommy is  a fabulous horse, and his owner/trainer will insist on a fabulous home. So be ready with your references to convince her you are worthy of the great Tommaso! She appreciates new homes that keep in touch and regularly send her updates on her horses.
