What Would Jay Do, 2011, 15.3h+ bay gelding

One thing Jay likes to do is smooch! Horses don’t come much cuter or sweeter than this lightly raced, still growing, sound and adorable guy. He is very well bred, by top sire Tale of the Cat, and his fourth dam is the great sprinting race mare Ta Wee; his looks and pedigree warranted an $80,000 yearling purchase price. While he trains great in the mornings, he isn’t interested in beating the competition in the afternoon, so they want to find him a new career. With his solid build, flashy good looks, and toe pointing light movement at the trot, we can see a great show hunter career in his future. His trainer thinks he could be a children’s hunter with proper retraining. He is described as sound, with no vices, quiet to handle, and super sweet… which we could certainly see for ourselves! He had already been done up with the front wraps by the time we got to his barn, and they are standard post-race care, since we saw him the day after he raced. He is likely to grow more, and we think he will top out at 16 h or more.
