This beautiful and classy racemare was our first photoshoot of the day before downpours kept us trapped in barns  for a majority of the morning. If she had been our only listing of the day, it would have been worth it! She started her career on the NYRA circuit, breaking her maiden at Saratoga five years ago. Since then she has been up and down the northeastern racetracks and has even won twice this year, back to back wins as an 8 year old. This elegant mare has many miles and years left on her although her connections feel that it is time for her to retire after her stellar career on the racetrack. Wisdom of Oz was full of dapples that shone through even  without sun. She displayed a lovely shoulder and nice flat-kneed jog with nice suspension.  She is  described as sound and her last race was less than two weeks ago. With 67 lifetime starts 10 wins, 9 seconds and 13 thirds, she has earned the venerable status of warhorse. Oz is by Roaring Fever out of a Pentelicus mare. Her handler stated that the quiet, classy demeanor she demonstrated on this morning is typical for her and that she is a “really nice horse”. We think so too.
