You Got It, 2013 16.2h dark bay gelding

Aptly named, this stunning guy’s got the “IT” factor for sure!  No wonder he sold for $100,000 as a weanling. He has a gorgeous intelligent face, an uphill build, and a strong sloping shoulder. And he’s a very nice mover, showing a light balanced trot.  As we were admiring You Got It’s good looks and presence, his groom raved about him — always a great source of endorsement.  “He’s a really cool horse,” he said.  Great to handle and work with, with back racing class and two wins on the tough New York circuit.  In the spring of 2016 he had a mild bowed tendon.  He had rehab time, and the tendon is now tight and cold and causing no problems at all.  He came back to the races last fall, and has raced four times this year, but he is not as competitive as he once was. So  his owner/trainer wants to let him move on to a hew career.  He has an excellent pedigree for sport/jumping disciplines.  He is by Midnight Lute, who is from the Quiet American branch of the Fappiano line. He is out of a mare by the great Smarty Jones, which brings in Gone West and In Reality.   With his elegant good looks and nice movement, You Got It could be a lovely show hunter, but he also has great potential for lower level eventing or dressage.
