This one needs to be seen in person to truly appreciate!  When we took Zeppole’s listing, we had volunteers with hunter/jumper, eventing, and fox hunting backgrounds and we all thought this one was totally fabulous!  Zeppole is a very loved filly.  Her current trainer’s brother bred and raised her, so she has sentimental value to her connections.  Zeppole started her racing career on the NYRA circuit and was promising enough that she had a second place finish in a maiden special weight heat. Lightly raced with 13 starts, she did break her maiden at Finger Lakes after arriving here earlier in the summer, but isn’t showing enough promise to continue on. Even though she had just returned from the pool for her meet and greet, she displayed impeccable manners and a kind demeanor (even with a loose horse galloping around)! She is well built, and is reported as clean legged and sound with no stable vices. Her trainer reports she is a very sweet girl who is easy to work with, which is certainly the demeanor she displayed for her meet and greet.  We could see her excelling in any sport horse career! Her connections here at Finger Lakes are excellent caregivers and are very careful about placing their horses into off-track homes. References will be required and her trainer prefers to get regular updates.  We think she would be a fabulous pick for the 2018 RRP!  She is by Believeinmenow out of a Distinctive Pro mare.
